About the calculation
What does OrcaCostPrint calculate?
The real cost of a 3D-printed part (material, energy, machine hour, labor, fees and taxes you configure) and a suggested selling price from the markup you choose. The basic calculator covers the essentials; the advanced one (PRO) uses full cost profiles, price bands and your printer payback.
How is the suggested price formed?
We add every cost of the part (or batch) and apply your profile markup on top. Fees and taxes are part of the cost, before markup. You see the breakdown line by line and can edit the final price by hand — the suggestion is never a lock.
Is the result reliable?
As precise as the data you enter: filament/resin price, printer power, energy tariff and the slicer print time. We do not invent numbers. Quotes and orders keep a snapshot of the values used, so changing a tariff today does not alter yesterday’s quote.
Do I need to convert print time to minutes?
No. Enter hours and minutes as the slicer shows (e.g. 9 h 30). We do the conversion.
Plans and PRO
What is the difference between FREE and PRO?
FREE has the basic calculator and the essentials to run a small operation: printers, materials, quotes, clients and orders, with usage limits. PRO removes those limits and unlocks the advanced calculator, stock, catalog, finance, reports and branded PDFs.
What changes in practice when I subscribe?
You stop calculating part by part and start operating: cost profiles per type of job, price bands to position yourself, stock debited automatically when an order goes to printing, and a PDF quote with your business name, logo and contacts.
How do I cancel?
In Settings › Subscription, at any time, no need to talk to anyone. PRO access continues until the end of the paid period and your data stays in your account.
How does payment work?
Monthly subscription through Stripe, by card. We never store card data — it stays with Stripe. Invoice and receipt arrive by e-mail.
Data and security
What happens to my data?
It lives on cloud servers (Google Cloud) and is used only to run the service. We do not sell or share data with third parties for marketing. You can export it and request deletion at any time — see the Privacy Policy.
Is the data mine? Can I take it out?
Yes. Quotes, clients and catalog can be exported, and the quote PDF is yours to send however you like. No lock-in.
Do you see my customers’ data?
Your customers’ data is yours and isolated in your account. Any recommendation or statistic the app shows uses only your own usage data — never your customers’.
Does it work in other currencies and languages?
Yes. The interface is in Portuguese, English and Spanish, and values follow the currency and number format you choose. It is not just translation: numbers, dates and currency follow.
